INSTALLING A SHOWER DOOR HANDLE
In installing a SHOWER DOOR HANDLE, we have to be very careful so as not to compromise the glass shower door. Most especially when a drilling is required, the right precision must be observed. There are two ways a SHOWER DOOR HANDLE can be installed: the one that requires drilling and the other one that needs an extra strength, waterproof adhesive.
Once a SHOWER DOOR HANDLE has been chosen and purchased, determine if how it is going to be attached to the glass doors. If you are just replacing an old SHOWER DOOR HANDLE, it is best if the replacement has the same details as that of the new one so that you will not need to add new holes to the glass panels.
If the installation of the SHOWER DOOR HANDLE requires drilling, make sure that you are wearing a protective mask as precaution to prevent glass dust from penetrating your eyes. Initially, you have to remove the old handle (if you are just replacing and old handle) from the glass doors. Make sure that area is clean after removal. To be able to fit in the new handle, all sticky materials and dirt are removed from the area. You have to be certain that the holes are match to the new door handle. If it is not, mark the surface using a pencil where you plan to drill a hole. Put the handle in place and insert the screw making sure that the handle is firmly placed.
If the handle requires an adhesive for installation, make sure that you use a waterproof adhesive. Once you determined where the handle goes and have attached it to the door, leave it for hours to dry it up. It must be really dried up and secured before using it so as not for it to fall off easily.
